بامداد امروز مراسم «جوایز ام‌تی‌وی: فیلم و سریال 2019» (MTV: Movie & TV Awards 2019) برگذار گردید و بهترین آثار منتشرشده در یک سال اخیر جایزه‌های خود را دریافت کنند.

شبکه «نت‌فلیکس» (Netflix) در این دوره موفق به کسب 14 نامزدی در بخش‌های مختلف برای آثارش همچون فیلم "جعبه پرنده" (Bird Box) و "تقدیم به همه پسرانی که عاشقشان بودم" (To All the Boys I've Loved Before) گردید. از هنرمندان نام‌آشنایی که در این مراسم حضور داشتند می‌توان به «ابری پلازا»، «دانیل لووی»، «دیو باتیتسا»، «دیوید اسپاد»، «الیزابت ماس»، «جامیلا جمیل»، «کیرنان شیپکا»، «کومیل نانجیانی»، «مدای آپاتو»، «ملیسا مک‌کارتی»، «ام‌جی رودریگز»، «شامیک مور»، «استورم رید» و «تیفانی هدیش» اشاره کرد.
